The Highs:

  • Being a Husband to my Wife of 20 years
  • Being a Dad to my Daughter and Son
  • Putting myself through college and law school
  • Co-chairing a high-profile, 5-defendant, 2-week long prosecution in US District Court as a law student in United States vs. Michael Fulcher, et al
  • Successfully prosecuting the cases of 10 murder victims and two of the most complex prosecutions in Butler County history
  • Winning the "Board of Directors Trial Advocacy Award" from the Association of Government Attorneys in Capital Litigation for the prosecution of State of Ohio vs. Calvin McKelton
  • Having the Investigation Discovery channel feature the prosecution of State of Ohio vs Mark & Scott Blankenburg in its series "Evil Twins"
  • Being given the opportunity to make a radical career change and the responsibility of leadership for a global public company

 

 

The Lows:

  • Growing up in a home of alcoholism, drug addiction, mental illness, and domestic violence
  • Experiencing the shame of having to put grocery items back because they weren't allowed with food stamps
  • Feeling physically pained by having to hand in my badge after getting fired
  • Being unemployed for an extended period of time with a young child to feed
  • Fighting the "Not Again!" voice of Fear inside after getting fired a second time
  • Battling depression with whatever tools necessary, including therapy and medication
